Capable Trims and Features

The 2018 Frontier has been made with new trim levels and special features that are made for each of their lines. The Frontier comes in five different trim levels: the S, SV, Desert Runner, Pro-4X and SL models. The S trim is the most basic trim level and contains the standard features such as a two-wheel drive, 15-inch steel wheels, cloth front bucket seats and audio controls that can fit onto the steering wheel. The SV trim is a bit more upgraded with features like 16-inch alloy wheels, access to satellite radio and a sliding rear window, with a "crew cab" option that features a sunroof and heated front seats. The Desert Runner trim is one that has things such as special styling with the foglights, shock absorbers and off-road tires, though this model comes only with a rear-wheel drive in V6 cylinders. The Pro-4X is a premium trim package model and comes equipped with a sunroof, heated mirrors, leather upholstery decorations and front seats that are power adjustable. The SL trim is the most advanced and is top tier, with features like an automatic transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels and a sunroof. It only comes in a crew cab format, however and doesn't have the same off road equipment found in the Pro-4X.

The engine is readily adapted to the size and strength of the truck, being able to get a 261 horsepower rating while moving at up to 5,600 wheel rotations per minute, while also being able to generate up to 281 feet to pounds of torque. The truck itself has a maximum towing capacity of up to 6,710 pounds and hold a complete payload of more than 1,400 pounds. The car runs on regular unleaded fuel and has a modest fuel economy of only 19 combined miles per gallon, getting 16 MPGs for city driving and 23 MPGs for highway driving.

Safety Features for the 2018 Frontier

Stability and traction have all been improved to accommodate the towing and off-road capabilities. A tire pressure monitoring system has been included in order to keep track of the wheel status at all times.
