
What's New For the 2021 Nissan Armada?
The Nissan Armada builds on its reputation as a fun family-hauler with the same off-roading prowess as before and the same powertrain options. For 2021, the Armada features a refreshed exterior, upgraded interior, and the previous infotainment system's replacement.
2021 Armada Trims & Features
The Armada comes in the following trims and configurations:
- SV (base trim)
- SV AWD
- SL
- SL AWD
- Platinum
- Platinum AWD
Base versions of each trim are RWD. All trims come in seven exterior colors and three interior colors. The base SV trim has an available Driver Package that adds front fog lights, a power liftgate, and an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror. The SL trim has two available packages in the Premium and Captain's Chair. The latter package features second-row captain's chairs and a second-row center console with a padded armrest. The Platinum trim offers the Captain's Chair package as well as a Platinum Reserve Package and a 22-inch Wheel Package.
All trims come with appealing features like remote keyless entry, power windows, a navigation system, 13 Bose speakers, real-time weather display, and rear air conditioning with separate controls.

2021 Nissan Armada Horsepower
The Armada comes with one standard powertrain, and that is a 5.6-liter gas V8 mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The engine makes 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. You can get either an AWD model or the 2WD model, which is standard RWD. The Armada can tow up to 8,500 pounds when properly equipped. The payload capacity is between 1,542 and 1,723 pounds. Gas mileage on the Armada is around 14 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway.
Nissan Armada Safety
Most of the 2021 Armada upgrades are actually in the safety department. Standard features now include Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Mitigation. NHTSA has awarded the Armada an impressive five-star crash rating. Other available safety features for the Armada include the following:
