What's New For the 2020 Nissan LEAF?

If the Nissan LEAF is new to you, prepare to love it! We adore this model at Reliable Nissan, and we hope to help more folks around Albuquerque drive them in the new decade. The 2020 Nissan LEAF gives you a new driving experience if you are used to piloting conventional cars. We invite you to test drive a LEAF to feel how it leaps from the line with purpose.

2020 Nissan LEAF Has Abundant Features

Nissan furthers the LEAF's second generation with this model year, offering six trims: S, SV, SL, S Plus, SV Plus, SL Plus.  Each trim delivers plenty of features to help you enjoy driving a greener vehicle.

At the base level, the S offers exceptional power with a 40-kWh battery, 6.6 kWh onboard charger, automatic temperature control and Nissan Intelligent Key. Safety features are highlighted by a hill-start assistance feature, automatic emergency braking, e-pedal mode and adaptive cruise control. Choosing the SV will provide the standard features from the S trim, plus NissanConnect EV driver interface with navigation and service, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The top-level SL trim adds elevated features such as heated front seats, leather upholstery, a premium Bose audio system with seven speakers, and a blind-spot warning system.

You can also choose to upgrade to the LEAF Plus version of any three trims. Opting for the Plus models offer additional standard and available features, including a more powerful powertrain, an 8-inch touchscreen display, remote control start, and greater safety technologies with Nissan's ProPILOT Assistance.

2020 LEAF Performance

These popular hatchbacks give you instant access to the power their motors generate. If you choose a Plus trim style, your LEAF will receive power from a 160-kilowatt motor that emits 214 horsepower. This model also has a maximum range of 226 miles between charges.

Meanwhile, the remaining LEAF trims enjoy a 110-kilowatt motor that provides 147 horsepower. You can drive these EVs up to 150 miles between charges. The LEAF's driving experience lets you confidently switch from a conventional auto to an EV.

Nissan LEAF Safety in the Forefront

Nissan expertly addresses EV-specific safety. First, the automaker surrounds each LEAF's battery in a steel cage. Secondly, the EV's onboard tech breaks the circuit between the battery and the motor when the airbags deploy. These two measures protect you after impacts that require waiting for first responders' assistance. We all want to avoid crashes. Your Nissan LEAF does that via anti-lock brakes and available systems that help you prevent collisions.
