Nissan Sentra Review for 2016 Model Year
The refreshed 2016 Nissan Sentra features an all-new exterior design that mirrors that of the 2016 Altima and Maxima. It now sports new boomerang headlights and taillights, fresh 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, revised front and rear fascias, and an all-new grille. Take a gander inside the new 2016 Nissan Sentra in Albuquerque and you'll find a brand-new center cluster, shift knob, console, updated seat fabrics and revised audio display designs. You'll also discover an Advanced Driver Assist Display, Siri Eyes Free and NissanConnectSM Services, which offers remote access and allows the owner to customize alerts, such as curfew alerts and speed alerts. In addition to this technology, a collection of safety features are also available, including Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Emergency Braking and Intelligent Cruise Control. A new exterior paint option, Deep Blue Pearl, has also been added to the color palette this year.
Rated at 130 horsepower and 128 lb.-ft. of torque, the 1.8L four-cylinder engine outfitted on the 2016 Nissan Sentra in Albuquerque is extremely efficient. It comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission on the base model, while all other trims come with a continuously variable transmission. When paired with the six-speed manual, the four-cylinder helps the Sentra achieve an EPA-estimated 30 mpg combined, 27 city and 36 highway. CVT-equipped models produce an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined, 29 city and 39 highway, which are slightly better numbers.
