Warning: this 2014 Nissan GT-R review is meant for serious drivers who aren't afraid of unbelievable acceleration. If you can't take the g-force generated from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds - do not read any further!

Ever since the GT-R clocked the fastest-ever lap by a production car in 2007 in Nurburg, Germany, race car enthusiasts have maintained a high level of excitement over this Nissan supercar. The 2014 GT-R produces no less excitement today with its hand-crafted, twin turbo-charged 3.8-liter V6 engine delivering 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet of torque. All GT-R engines are hand assembled from start to finish by a single technician. After assembly, these engines are bench-tested and redlined for ten minutes before being installed and track-tested. Of course, cars are more than engines on wheels. The aerodynamic engineering that goes into the GT-R is remarkable. Scoops, vents and spoiler slice through the atmosphere while air-cooling the engine and brakes. Underbody aerodynamic forces keep the GT-R joined with the road. The all-wheel drive and precision steering coupled with newly updated suspension that lowers the GT-R's center of gravity all combine for incredible high-speed handling.

With this kind of performance capability, it's good to know that safety systems are also top-of-the-line. Antilock brakes, electronic stability and traction control and a full complement of airbags are standard features. Edmunds did brake testing and declared the GT-R's 60-0 mph stopping distance of 98 feet to be among the best they'd ever recorded.

New in 2014 is the limited GT-R Track Edition which joins the 2014 GT-R Premium and GT-R Black Editions. The track edition utilizes specially tuned suspension and increases brake cooling ability, adds a front spoiler and loses the back seat.
