What's New for the 2019 Nissan 370Z?

For 2019, Nissan has updated three of the 370Z car models, including the coupe, roadster, and NISMO coupe. With all new colors and trim levels, this model change has mainly focused on aesthetic adjustments for a sharper sports car look. Trim level name changes, two new models, rearview mirror tweaks, and more transmission options have also made an appearance this year.

Which Stand Out Trims and Features are Present?

The NISMO and standard Z-car models have all new appearances and power changes for 2019 in celebration of the original 240Z's 50th anniversary. Both vehicles will feature the same 3.0-liter engine, but the NISMO will produce more power than all other Z models.

All 370Zs will have a standard auto-dimming rearview mirror added for 2019. The Touring and Sport tech lines have also been combined into one model, the Sport Touring.

The coupe's Heritage Edition Package lineup now adds two new color schemes to the mix: Deep Blue Pearl and Pearl White. All other lines remain available in the standard color options.

How Fast Is the Nissan 370Z?

2019 Nissan 370Z Top ViewAll Nissan 370Z models feature a 3.0-liter V6. Engines in the coupe, roadster, and standard trim models will produce around 332-horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. The new standard Z-car will produce 399-horsepower and 350 pound-feet torque. NISMO models will come with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 like all other editions; however, this engine will produce 475-horsepower and 451 pound-feet torque.

Two transmission styles are available: a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic with manual shift paddles. The manual transmission can accelerate to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, while the automatic can handle the task in 4.6 seconds.

First row curtain airbags, ABS traction control, Bi-Xenon headlights, LED brake lights, and panic alarms can be found on all models. A content theft-deterrent alarm system, side impact airbags, daytime running lights, low tire pressure warnings, disable ignition, and an illuminated entry have also been installed. Braking from 60-0 mph now only takes 103 feet to accomplish.

Stability control detects when the vehicle becomes unstable and applies select brakes so that the driver will remain in control of the car. Pretensioners automatically tighten the seat belts in case of collision to keep the driver/passenger in the best seating position for protection. Anti-whiplash head restraints prevent whiplash in the event of a rear collision. This vehicle also comes with a remote keyless entry that automatically disables unless the correct manufactured key has been used.
