What's New for the 2018 Nissan Titan?

The always reliable Nissan Titan enters 2018 with only one minor tweak to the lineup of trucks from the manufacturer. In 2017, Nissan made a lot of great upgrades to the Titan lineup that have through to the new model year in 2018 due to how well the changes were received by consumers. Moving into the 2018 model year, Nissan has introduced the Midnight Edition package to the Titan. This unique package looks sharp coming down the road with 20-inch black alloy wheels, body-colored front bumpers and grille, black-trimmed headlights, black outside mirrors and black step rails. To complete this sharp looking package, the truck comes available in the colors of magnetic black or gun metallic gray.

The 2018 Nissan Titan comes available to consumers in several different trim packages and cab configurations that are sure to please any customer. The truck has cab configurations in single, king and crew cab versions. These configurations allow owners to customize the truck to their family and passenger needs.

The Titan comes in the standard S trim package in the single, king and crew cab configurations. The S package features 18" steel wheels, manual folding exterior mirrors, overhead LED cargo bed lights and cargo bed tie downs. The interior of this package includes push-button ignition, vinyl flooring, column shifter, hands-free phone connectivity, rearview camera and many other great available accessories from Nissan.

The SV package comes available in all three cab configurations and features a switch operated four-wheel drive on 4x4 models, 18" steel wheels, an available chrome exterior trim package, power heated mirrors with turn signals and skid plates for both the oil pan and fuel tank on the undercarriage of the truck. The interior of this package features an advanced display for the driver that includes navigation and caller ID functions through Bluetooth connections. Mood lighting on the interior and a rearview camera system also grace the interior of the SV package. Additional tow, convenience, and utility packages are available on SV package as well.

The Pro-4x package comes available in the king and crew cab Titan models. This package includes off-road performance shocks, hill descent control, switch-operated 4-wheel drive, 18" aluminum-alloy wheels, fog lights, front tow hooks and a tow hitch receiver on the exterior. The interior of the Pro-4x package comes loaded with a 7-inch touchscreen that connects to navigation and smartphones, dual-zone climate control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The SL package is available in the crew cab Titan and adds more to the SV package. These additions include 20" aluminum-alloy wheels, LED bed lighting, 120-volt AC power outlet in the bed, remote start, leather seating with power adjustability, heated seats, and a Rockford Fosgate 12 speaker audio system.

The Midnight Edition features were mentioned, and on top of that, Nissan finally adds the Platinum Reserve edition to the crew cab trucks. This truck adds to the already impressive SL package with 20" dark chrome alloy wheels, trailer brake controller, trailer light checking system, chrome exhaust tips, two-tone leather seats and front captain's chairs.

Ample Horsepower for Long Hauls

2018 Nissan Titan ExteriorAll trim packages of the 2018 Nissan Titan feature the 5.6-liter, V8 engine from Nissan that boasts 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. This strong engine has a maximum towing capacity of 9,740 pounds allowing you to haul with ease. The Titan pickups achieve 21 miles per gallon in fuel economy on the highway.

2018 Nissan Titan RearNissan packs many great safety features into the 2018 Titan. A tire pressure monitoring system alerts the driver when tires are low on air and the horn will give a beep when correct tire pressure is reached when filling. A traction control system on the truck senses wheel slipping and reduces throttle to help gain traction and control of the vehicle. Six standard airbags grace the interior and the trucks include a child seat fit guide that lists seats that fit the Titan trucks and tips for installation. The 2018 Titan has received a 4-star safety rating from the NHTSA.
