
October is in full force here in ABQ, and what better way to celebrate than to enjoy all of the seasonal activities and events our city has to offer! From corn mazes to pumpkin patches to Halloween festivities, see what local happenings have made our can't-miss list.

One of ABQ’s most popular Halloween events, Zoo Boo is a safe, family-friendly way to celebrate the holiday. Dress up in your best costume because there will be a parade and contest to participate in. There will also be plenty of carnival-style games for the kids to play, as well as Haunted Habitats to explore. Best of all, local businesses and organizations will be handing out sweet treats all day.
Rio Grande Community Farm’s Maize Maze
When: Fridays & Weekends in Oct. – Hours vary
Where: 1701 Montano Road NW Albuquerque
Cost: Day - $8 for adults, $6 for kids (3-12)
Night - $16 for all ages
There’s nothing like a good corn maze! Each year, the Maize Maze at Rio Grande Farm shows off a new design for farm-goers to try their luck at solving. During the day, attendees can expect to spend about thirty minutes exploring the maze, which is themed “Colors” this year. In addition to the maze, there are several other kid-friendly activities including a coloring challenge and pumpkin carving.
After dark, the maze gets a little eerie. The theme changes to “Quarantine Outbreak,” and it’s said that participants might run into a zombie or two. This interactive haunted maze starts just after dusk and is appropriate for ages 12 and older.
McCall’s Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Farm
When: Weekends in Oct. – Hours vary
Where: 2 McCall Ln, Moriarty
Cost: Pumpkin Patch- $14.95 on most weekends, $12.95 on Halloween weekend
Haunted Farm- Prices vary, general admission starts at $4.95
McCall’s Farm is the place to go for an authentic family farm experience! There is no shortage of things to do here—the popular farm houses a 16-acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, pedal kart track, pumpkin-launching, a hayride and much, much more.
Once night falls, the McCall Farm takes a frightening turn! From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the popular Haunted Farm attraction offers spine-tingling scares and terrorizing thrills. There are several haunted attractions to explore, including a haunted cornfield, haunted barn and clown-themed maze.
