
What better way to work off all of that turkey and pumpkin pie than to get all of your holiday shopping done at the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival? This renowned Thanksgiving Weekend tradition is back Nov. 25-27, 2016, at the Expo New Mexico, so be sure to mark your calendars now!
This year marks the 17th year for this popular Albuquerque festival, which attracts shoppers from around the state. The holly, jolly spirit is alive and well at this craft festival, with a plethora of holiday entertainment to watch in between shopping. Carolers, mariachis and other musicians literally deck the halls, and even Santa and his elves take a quick detour to ABQ to attend.
Admission at this event starts at $7 (plus $5 for parking), or $9 (includes free parking) for the whole weekend. Children 12 and under are completely free, so bring them along for the fun! There are several kid-friendly activities throughout, including photos with Santa.
