J.D. Power has just released its latest 2016 Initial Quality Study, and the Nissan Frontier has been recognized as the top mid-size truck in its segment.

“Earning the top spot among vehicles in the extremely competitive mid-size truck segment is an immense point of pride for us,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Chief Marketing Manager and Marketing Operations, Nissan North America, Inc.

The annual study takes a look at the overall problems experienced by new car owners during the first 90 days, and then highlights the models that had the lowest number of issues. The 2016 Frontier, as well as the 2016 Altima and 2016 Murano, all demonstrated that they offer a fantastic customer experience, earning top spots in their respective categories.

Another big win for Nissan was that the automaker jumped 10 spots from last year’s list to now place in the top 10 overall brands examined in the study.

“For our brand to jump 10 spots in the industry is an amazing feat. This recognition is a testament to the incredibly skilled men and women at our manufacturing and engineering facilities around the world,” Mohnke added.
