The ABQ is turning 310 years old and to celebrate this momentous occasion, the city is putting on a fantastic event: Fiestas de Albuquerque! Happening on Saturday, April 16, 2016, this will truly be one of the most fun Albuquerque events taking place this April.
Mayor Richard Berry will be on hand to help celebrate the city’s birthday with a fun day of activities, local food vendors and artist demonstrations. There will even be live music and dancing during the afternoon. On top of all of this, there will be a Founders’ Parade at 3:30 p.m., which highlights Albuquerque’s founding families.
Fiestas de Albuquerque is also a terrific family affair. The festivals’ website says, “Fiestas de Albuquerque is fun for the whole family! There will be a large scale rock wall for the adventurous to test their skills at climbing, as well as face painters that will share their colorful designs with event guests. All of these activities are available free of charge.”
Join your neighbors from around the Albuquerque area for this fun and exciting local event this April. To find out more about Fiestas de Albuquerque 2016, visit the event page online here or call 505-768-3556.
