The 2016 Nissan GT-R is once again going for the gold. An all-new gold special edition of the popular sports car will be coming out in 2016 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the roadster. Called the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition, the new GT-R is every speed junkie’s dream come true.

The last gold GT-R incarnation was the special edition created for Usain Bolt in 2012. That roadster was a one-of-a-kind model that was auctioned off for charity. Apparently, drivers have been calling for a new edition of the gold supercar and now we have it. The new Gold Edition will work off of the GT-R’s Premium trim and use a paint color called Silica Brass. The paint will also cover the car’s VIN plates, as well as a commemorative plaque on its center console.

Autoblog sources say that Nissan will release only 30 models of the anniversary edition in the U.S. As such, the automaker recommends ordering your own model from your local Nissan dealer in Albuquerque as soon as possible. If you find yourself too late for the Gold Edition, you can have your pick of either the Premium or Black Editions of the GT-R, which get up to five more horsepower than the regular model. The Premium is also getting a few new updates this year, including 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels.
