The all-new 2016 Maxima is going dark this model year. The fully redesigned sedan is getting a new Midnight Edition that offers a fun and edgy version of the popular car.
The Maxima SR Midnight debuted at the BET Experience, an annual festival ahead of the BET Awards in June and is the first accessory package to be offered on the Maxima. Nissan is branding the sedan as the world’s first “4-door sports car,” so creating this far more aggressive accessory package is right on point for the automaker.
The new Maxima is really one of a kind, as mentioned in a recent Nissan press release, “The dramatically styled 2016 Maxima, created by driving enthusiasts for driving enthusiasts, looks like nothing else on the road today – and drives like nothing in the segment. It not only resets Maxima's iconic '4-Door Sports Car' positioning, it sets a new standard for style, performance and technology in the large sedan segment.”
The Maxima Midnight Edition is based on the SR trim, which is one of the sportier trims on the sedan. The car is painted with Super Black paint and boasts a color-match rear spoiler, black 19-inch aluminum wheels, a lower diffuser and rocker panel moldings. Inside, the Maxima SR Midnight offers Charcoal premium-leather upholstery and Alcantara inserts on the front seats.
