Autoblog has already called the fully redesigned 2016 Nissan Maxima “a sexy, rakish sedan.” But in their newest ad that premiered during the Super Bowl this February, the automaker decided to show off its immense family car qualities. This was Nissan’s first Super Bowl ad in over 18 years and they really came back into the game full force.
The ad called “With Dad” is a "Cat’s in the Cradle" homage to father-son relationships, as a racecar driver struggles to balance time between his job and his family. The ad is very effective for many reasons, not only getting viewers a little teary eyed, but also showing off the new Maxima, as well as the new front-engined GT-R-based Le Mans racecar.
After the ad premiered, Nissan released new photos of the car that show off its sleek new body and more aggressive features. We don’t have full details yet on what new amenities and features the new sedan will sport, but we will know more once the Maxima debuts at the New York Auto Show in April. For now take a look at the new pictures from Nissan and watch their terrific ad about family.
