We are excited to announce that not one, not two, not three, but four new Nissan models earned Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ designations from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The 2016 Nissan Maxima and 2016 Murano both earned Top Safety Pick+ awards – the Institute’s highest rating – thanks to their top ratings in all five of their crash test evaluations. Both vehicles also earned “Superior” ratings for their front crash prevention systems that are required for the “plus” rating.

The 2016 Sentra and 2016 Rogue joined the Maxima and Murano by earning two Top Safety Pick awards. Incidentally, Nissan is planning to add a Forward Emergency Braking system to the Sentra early this year, which means the sedan should be bumped up to a Top Safety Pick+ designation soon.

"Nissan is proud to again have our core vehicles recognized by IIHS for vehicle safety," said Pierre Loing, vice president, Product Strategy and Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA). "The new Maxima, like the Murano, is setting high standards in its class for styling, performance and interior refinement. The 2016 Nissan Rogue and Sentra demonstrate Nissan’s commitment to high quality and safety standards, and we are gratified that these outstanding vehicles have been recognized for excellent design."

We are very proud that some of our most popular models also continue to be the some of the safest. Visit Reliable Nissan today to learn more about these amazing new Nissan cars in Albuquerque!
