As a kid, sledding was the best pastime during the winter months and there was nothing better than speeding down a huge hill with the cold air hitting your face just to feel a rush of excitement and nervousness all in one quick moment. This used to be all we needed to keep us satisfied when the temperatures hit below zero, but as the years go by, more and more people are looking to redefine sledding as we know it and create new thrills to liven up the snowy season.
A few innovative southerners got together this past winter and made an attempt to take sledding from the hills to the streets with the help of a blacked-out Nissan GT-R. The crew reconstructed a regular shopping cart into a makeshift sled, attached a water-skiing rope to the end of the G-TR and proceeded to be towed throughout the city roads, which (thankfully) were near empty. Overall, the stunt seemed to be a success for the team, but any crazy stunt wouldn't be complete without at least one good wipeout, and before the 3:25 mark hits, that's exactly what you get.
Watch the daring act on YouTube now for a good afternoon laugh and get a glimpse of sledding like you've never seen it before. Just don't try this at home!
